BRAVE/R Together Ambassador Program

At the foundation of BRAVE/R Together efforts is a group of community-based ambassadors who work alongside local leaders and leverage grassroots organizations, corporate partners, public officials and area residents to envision and fund innovative solutions. Our ambassadors are at the forefront of progress in 76104, and our partnerships provide extra support, enhancing our ability to address the four core inequities in the area.

Grant Program

BRAVE/R Together launched the 76104 Community Grant in 2021. We have awarded 27 grants to offer over $310,000 in funds to organizations doing work across the ZIP code. We have partnered with additional organizations to offer capacity building, non-profit management, and support over the last year.

BRAVE/R Business Academy

The BRAVE/R Business Academy was created to provide services to BIPOC businesses in 76104, helping build capacity through connection to free resources, quarterly workshops, coaching, brand building, networking and more.

To date, the BRAVE/R Business Academy has enrolled 192 businesses.  provided 15+ minority certifications and hosted several business workshops.

BRAVE/R Together Maternal Health Initiative

The BRAVE/R Together Maternal Health Initiative is designed to offer a protected space for birthing people and their loved ones to connect, engage and share about their lived experiences surrounding maternal and infant mortality. The initiative provides support and education for community champions enabling them to recruit members of the community to be informed and trained doulas.
